The Obstacle is the Way: Panic

Generally panic sets in when one doesn’t know what to do in a time-sensitive situation. Imagine a co-worker lashes out at you because of something you said. Maybe what you said was wrong, maybe it was just bad timing, but you feel hurt. Rather than hold a grudge towards this person moving forward, maybe you should take a broader view and understand that the verbal attack was simply an unintentional reaction. You may immediately and instinctively feel a passionate dislike towards this person, but it is your job to step back and think about the other side of the story. Rather than holding a grudge, what’s better is being empathetic and understanding that they have stresses and pressures in their lives as well.
